Vythiri is a hill station in the Wayanand district of Kerela. It is at 1300 m above sea level with breathtaking views. It is 72 km from Kozikhode. This hill station is frequently visited by tourists for its lovely locales, which is also rich in the production of tea, coffee, spices and rubber. The crystal clear water of the lake is an absolute beauty. Wayanand wildlife Sanctuary Established in 1973, the place is well maintained and has a variety of flora and fauna. Apart from landscape hopping, go around shopping too. Handicrafts, tea, coffee, honey and organic fruits and veggies offer a good buy.

Vythiri has a pleasant weather all the year round. Summers are warm though, but winters are absolutely wonderful. October to March are the months which attracts a good influx of tourists. How to Reach Air

To reach Vythiri by air, you have to disembark at the Karipur Airport ( Calicut) and drive 90 km to hit the scenic place.

How to Reach Road

State owned busese are frequent to this place as it is a popular tourists destination. It is very convenient to hire a taxi to Vythiri. It is well connected by road and NH 212 is in good condition if one enjoys a road journey.

How to Reach Rail

Trains reach up till Calicut (Kozhiode) railway station and tourists have to either take a bus or taxi to reach Vythiri which will take about 74 km.
