Eravikulam National Park
This park is one of the major attractions for a tourist as it is the home to endangered inhabitants known as Nilgiri Tahr. Also, Anamudi Peak is located inside this park. The park offers a romantic and an overwhelming view.
A few years ago, Tata tea had opened a museum in Munnar to maintain the legacy and evolution of burgeoning tea plantations. You will see that the museum contains the pictures, stories and machineries regarding the evolution and growth of the tea plantations.
Munnar also attracts tourists due to a very small waterfall known as Lakkam Waterfall. Further, it has many natural waterfalls which are a good place for photography for the tourists.
Marayoor is a place having natural and fresh sandalwood trees, huge caves having murals, children’s park under a distinct Banyan tree and a sandalwood factory- all of these fascinate tourists in great amounts.
Visit the beautiful Kundala Lake, which is situated twenty three km from Munnar. You can hire a pedal boat and explore the lake which provides an enchanting experience as the lake is surrounded by jungles and scenic beauty. The total exploration of the lake takes around thirty mintues only.
It is situated thirty seven km away from Munnar on the border of Tamil Nadu and Kerala and is one the “top” tourist destination. This place is highly feasible to visit as the regular buses move from Munnar to the top station. It provides a great view of the beautiful Western Ghats. You can hire a jeep that usually costs around Rs 400. This area is also famous for the violent Neelakurunji plant which flowers here only once in every twelve years.
